Mountain Biking in Nendaz

We have just returned from an amazing weekend mountain biking in Nendaz and Verbier. We hired bikes from the great sport shop Neige Aventure (www.onthemountain.ch) in Nendaz and set out up the Tracouet for an adventurous day of mountain biking taking in the dramatic scenery from Tracouet to Siviez, then up to Veysonnez and back.

The next day we went over to La Tzoumaz and up the Savoyeux lift over to Verbier where there are several very exciting bike trails set out to different levels in a similar manner to the ski runs.

Overall I was really impressed by the options offered by the area from mellow tracks for families to adventurous, challenging runs for experienced bikers.

Almost 45 cm of snow fell over the weekend and the resort is looking absolutely amazing. The runs are open on the Tracouet Mountain, and Verbier has opened up much of it’s area… Read the rest of this entry »
